Thanks Karthik, and I’m sure you will enjoy Mangalore (i should warn you though that the roads are at their worst right now - lots of construction going all around). And Yeah, there are a lot of express buses that could take you to Kukke. I’m not sure abt the frequency though

Hi,

I am planning to visit Kukke temple and a day and spend a day in Mangalore. Your blog on the eateries are very impressive. Infact I was staying in Bangalore for 5 years and the only Mangalore food I used to have was from a restaurent called Mangalore Pearl. But during my first ever visit to Mangalore, I am sure I will visit atleast 3-4 mentioned in your blog. I am a foodie and am really mesmerized by Mangalore sea food. Am eagerly waiting for D-day. Thanks. Is it possible for you to let me know the best mode of travelling to Kukke from Mangalore? I was told to take bus from Mlr, is this a right one? If yes, how is the bus frequency? Thanks once again.

Hello,

You have captured some amazing photos. Thanks for sharing them. I was in Mangalore for around 10 days last month and I enjoyed every moment of my holiday.

Thanks for recommending Narayana’s- the fish meal was awesome. I also happened to be lucky to eat at Mohini Vilas on its last day before closure for demolition and re-construction.

Couple of Hotels which i tried…One Trishna on airport road.It got the ambience for truckers …..Known as truckers paradise…..not sure about the food…..but looks like a typical daba atmos……On the top floor you have normal rest…..Good food…

Second one…a small hotel in e heart of the city….Nr Balmatta Jn….indira Bhavan…Only Veg…real Homely food…….Medu vada is mouth watering…..Even Poori Baaji….Any time Drink…Lime juice and Rose milk….
